BELingual provides structured, engaging French lessons and after-school clubs for primary schools, helping children build confidence, develop communication skills and discover a love of languages.
🏫 Your school provides the classroom and shares the opportunity with families.
🇫🇷 BELingual provides the teaching and takes care of the administration.
We handle parent registration, payments, communication, planning, resources and delivery, so your school can offer French without taking on the day-to-day administration of running another club.
And because we believe every child should have the opportunity to learn a language, we offer one fully funded Pupil Premium place for every school club, subject to availability.
We know schools have enough to organise.
That's why our school partnership model is designed to make offering French as straightforward as possible.

💛 The funded Pupil Premium place
We provide one fully funded place per school club, subject to availability.
You provide the space and tell your families about the opportunity.
We provide the French and manage the club.
At BELingual, we believe that learning another language should be an opportunity that as many children as possible can enjoy.
We don't want financial circumstances to be a barrier to taking part in a French club.
That's why every BELingual school French club includes one fully funded place for a pupil eligible for Pupil Premium, subject to availability.
The place is completely free of charge to the family, with BELingual covering the cost of the club place.
We can work with the school to agree the most appropriate way to allocate the place, while treating families and children with care and discretion. Because every child deserves the opportunity to discover another language.
French clubs should be fun — but they should also have a purpose. Our sessions combine enjoyable, age-appropriate activities with structured language learning. Children might:
🎵 sing French songs
🎲 play language games
🎭 take part in role play
🗣️ practise simple conversations
📖 listen to stories
🔤 explore French sounds and pronunciation
🇫🇷 discover French culture and traditions
🧩 take part in challenges and language activities
Behind the fun is a clear learning journey.
Hear it → Understand it → Say it → Recognise it → Use it
Children regularly revisit language they have already learned while gradually developing their vocabulary, pronunciation, confidence and ability to communicate. So the club isn't simply a collection of unrelated French activities.
Children are building real language skills week by week.
The programme can be adapted to the age and starting point of the group.
Children may explore topics such as:
👋 Everyday French
Greetings, introductions, classroom language and simple conversations.
👨👩👧 Family & people
Talking about themselves, their family and friends, and describing people.
🐶 Animals & the world around us
Learning vocabulary, asking and answering questions, and building simple sentences.
🍎 Food & celebrations
Food, birthdays, celebrations and French traditions.
🏠 Home & everyday life
Homes, routines, activities and familiar surroundings.
🌦️ Weather & seasons
Useful everyday vocabulary and simple ways to describe the world around us.
🌍 France & the Francophone world
Discovering French-speaking countries, traditions, culture and everyday life.
The content can also complement the French children are already learning in school.
Children don't all arrive with the same French experience. Some may already have French lessons during the school day. Others may be completely new to the language.
That's absolutely fine.
BELingual's teaching is designed to meet children at their starting point and help them progress together. We use repetition, retrieval and carefully structured activities so children can build confidence gradually. Children don't need to be "good at languages" to join. They simply need to be willing to have a go.
We want every child to experience the confidence that comes from thinking:
“I can say that in French!”
Every school is different, so we can discuss the format that works best for your pupils and timetable.
A weekly French club where children can develop their language skills in a relaxed, engaging environment after the school day.
This is ideal for schools looking to offer an additional extracurricular language opportunity to families.
Shorter French sessions that bring language learning into the school day in a fun and manageable format.
Additional language and cultural experiences that complement your school's existing MFL provision.
French teaching that can complement or extend the school's existing language programme.
We can discuss the age groups, number of pupils, preferred day and time, and the type of provision that would work best for your school.
We make it easy for your school to introduce the opportunity to parents and carers.
Once the club arrangements have been agreed, BELingual provides a clear flyer with the key information families need.
Your school can then share the flyer through its usual communication channels.

A pathway beyond primary school
BELingual's primary provision connects naturally with our wider French teaching, supporting children as they progress from their first French experiences through KS1 and KS2 and onwards towards KS3 and GCSE.
We are delighted to be starting our school partnership programme with Jordans School, where BELingual is delivering an after-school French club on Tuesdays.
This is an exciting new step for BELingual — bringing our approach to French teaching directly into local schools and giving more children the opportunity to discover and enjoy another language.
We are now looking to build partnerships with more primary schools across the local area.
