Our adult lessons are designed to get you using French, not simply memorising vocabulary and completing grammar exercises.

You'll have regular opportunities to listen, speak, ask questions and practise the language in a supportive environment.

A small group gives you the chance to practise French with other learners while learning from your teacher.

French should be something you look forward to. Lessons are friendly, interactive and supportive.

Our adult classes can suit learners with a range of goals and backgrounds, including:

Never learned French before? That's absolutely fine. We'll start from the foundations and build your confidence gradually.

Perhaps you studied French at school but haven't used it for years. Our classes can help you rebuild what you remember and develop it further.

Learn useful language for holidays and everyday situations so you can feel more comfortable using French abroad.

If you already know some French but want to become more confident speaking, regular conversation practice can make a real difference.

You don't need an exam or a particular reason to learn French. Sometimes learning a language is simply something you want to do for yourself.

The exact content develops with the group, but lessons can include:

The aim is to help you understand more, say more and feel more comfortable using French.

BELingual currently has one adult French group.

If you'd like to learn with us, the first option is to join the existing group, subject to availability and the group's level being suitable for you.

This means you can start learning alongside other adults rather than waiting for a brand-new class to be created.

We'll let you know whether the current group is a good fit.

If you already have 2–6 adults who would like to learn French together, you don't necessarily need to join the existing class.

BELingual can create a self-formed French group around your learners, subject to suitable availability.

2 learners — £80 per lesson
3 learners — £90 per lesson
4 learners — £100 per lesson
5 learners — £110 per lesson
6 learners — £120 per lesson

This can be a great option for friends, couples, colleagues or other adults who want to learn together.

Private adult French tuition is also available for learners who want lessons built entirely around their own goals.Private tuition can be particularly useful if you:

• Want to progress at your own pace
• Need French for work or relocation
• Want intensive speaking practice
• Are preparing for a specific trip
• Have particular areas you want to improve
• Prefer one-to-one learning
