Our program is based on the English Curriculum and follows the GCSE French specification, which is divided into three main themes, each with four sub-topics. The AQA GCSE French Listening exam is assessing your understanding and responding to different types of spoken language in a variety of topics and tenses. It is assessed in the following way:
Questions - Foundation Tier and Higher Tier
In the AQA GCSE French Speaking exam, the examiner will be assessing your communicate and interact effectively in speech for a variety of purposes. It is assessed in the following way:
The format is the same at Foundation Tier and Higher Tier, but with different stimulus questions for the Photo card and different stimulus materials for the Role-play. The teachers conduct and records the speaking exam for external examiners to mark:
1) Role-play – 15 marks.
2) Photo card – 15 marks.
3) General conversation – 30 marks.
The AQA GCSE French Reading exam is assessing your understanding and responding to different types of written language.
