FROM ANNA
Learn and practice the French language in a fun and engaging way with us. We do vocabulary building, games and engaging activities in a safe, structured learning environment. We keep kids engaged intellectually but also physically. Kids retain the newly acquired vocabulary longer this way and they have fun in the process.
At BELingual we offer a French educational program in a playful environment for they younger children and in a more formal school setting for the older students. We run several classes for different age groups in Old Amersham. These classes are aimed at children between the ages of 2 and 10 years of age. Then they move up to the secondary class.
The classes are split by age:
- preschool: 2-4 years old
- KS1: 5-7 years old
-KS2: 8-10 years old
Both bilingual and non-bilingual children are welcome to join us. We accompany children in their journey to learn French by building on their vocabulary base and improve their French speaking skills. We organise different fun activities, games and exercises based on their level. We also use various tools such as visual aids for non-French speakers to ensure that the children feel comfortable in the French-language immersion context. The number of children per class is limited in order to allow each of them many opportunities to express themselves in French.
The children are encouraged to speak as much as much as possible during the lessons in order to exchange ideas and develop their vocabulary range. This in turn increases their confidence in their oral expression abilities as well as their listening skills. They learn French effortlessly. Throughout the year we explore cultural themes through structured play and exercises which are all age appropriate. The number of children per class is limited in order to allow each of them to express themselves in French.
Cost is £20 per session and you have the possibility to enrol your children in several classes.
The annual admin fee is £15 and the contribution to the teaching materials £15, so a grand total of £30 per child and per year.
If the day and time of the current available class isn't suitable, we can look at starting a new class for you if you have a group of 4 or more students. The first lesson is £10 so don't hesitate to come along and try it.
The French classes run weekly on a term-time basis.
